Grant Burge Corryton Park Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Fruit for Corryton Park is sourced predominantly from the Corryton Park vineyard in the high country of the Southern Eden Valley. This is Barossa varietal Cabernet Sauvignon at its best, showcasing the very cool location of this vineyard’, Craig Stansborough, Chief Winemaker.
Dark and dense purple. Bright and lifted on the nose, with layers of bay leaf, choc mint and cinnamon. The bouquet is a fantastic example of cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon. Vibrant and fresh on the palate, with flavours of redcurrant and traditional black Cabernet fruits, layered on top of very well integrated oak. The tannins are firm and fine, providing a fantastic base for the fruits to carry through for a long finish. Perfect with rare lamb cutlets.

95 GOLD POINTS - Halliday Companion 2023 "Cabernet sauvignon from the Corryton Park and Aravina vineyards, aged for 18 months in French oak (25% new). Plenty of aromatic detail and crunch on display here, with high-toned blackcurrant and blackberry fruits along with cassis and kirsch notes, with hints of briar, wild herbs, chocolate, cedar, tobacco leaf and earth. There is freshness and crunch on the palate too, along with a lovely swell of ripe cabernet fruit, fine, powdery tannins and a finish that swells gracefully with blackcurrant and cedary flair."
