Katnook Estate Shiraz 2018

Katnook Estate Shiraz captures the elegance and underlying power of classic cool climate Shiraz. 2018 was an excellent vintage in Coonawarra, producing an outstanding crop of Shiraz fruit, with intense colour, lively flavours and excellent levels of ripeness.

Deep red in colour with purple hues. The nose has a complex array of concentrated fruit and oak maturation notes. Vibrant berries with hints of peppery spice. A small amount of whole bunch Shiraz and Viognier were included in the fermentation, contributing subtle fragrance. A richly layered palate of displays lifted aromas and flavours of mulberries, blackberries, violets and spice, framed with finely polished tannins.

Pairs well with Texas style smoked brisket, steak with pepper sauce or some aged cheddar cheese.
