The Houghton Crofters Shiraz is a deep red in colour, with a vibrant purple hue. The bouquet displays intense aromatics of cherry and blueberry with underlying pepper and anise spice, complemented by hints of vanilla derived from oak maturation. The palate is bright and fresh with rich mulberry and blueberry characters with spicy highlights. Fine tannins contribute to the structure and length of the wine.
TASTING NOTES
This wine is a vibrant dark red with a youthful purple hue, the bouquet is highly aromatic with enticing aromas of violets, mulberries and boysenberries. The wine has notes of lifted cardamom and white pepper. French Oak maturation adds layers of coffee an vanillin. The palate is vibrant showing blueberry and cherry with pepper and vanillin oak spices. The palate is long and supple with an exceptional finish and fine tannins.
